Closing a personal website can feel like the end of an era. For many, a personal site has been a digital home, a place to share stories, showcase work, and connect with others. Yet, moving from a personal website to LinkedIn offers fresh opportunities to grow your professional network and increase your visibility. At least, that's what I've found!

LinkedIn profiles offer a dynamic way to present your professional story and connect with others.
Why Move from a Personal Website to LinkedIn?
Personal websites have their charm. They allow full control over design and content, and they serve as a portfolio or blog. However, maintaining a website requires time, technical skills, and sometimes costs for hosting and updates. LinkedIn, on the other hand, is built specifically for professional networking and offers several advantages:
Built-in audience: LinkedIn has over 900 million users worldwide, including recruiters, industry leaders, and peers. Your profile is instantly accessible to a large, relevant audience.
Networking tools: Features like messaging, groups, and endorsements make it easier to build and maintain professional relationships.
Job opportunities: Many companies post jobs directly on LinkedIn, and recruiters actively search for candidates on the platform.
Content sharing: You can publish articles, share updates, and engage with others’ posts to increase your visibility.
Credibility: Recommendations and endorsements add social proof to your skills and experience.
It's why I post most of my content there these days rather than maintain a separate site.
See you there!
As I close this site and embrace LinkedIn as my new professional hub, I invite you to join me there. Let’s continue the conversation, share insights, and support each other’s growth. You can find my profile at https://www.linkedin.com/in/nicklansley/ I look forward to connecting and sharing this new chapter with you.
