The new Raspberry PI 2 model B has arrived, and has just taken over from the the B+ Pi that has been running the weewx weather system for the last few months. Packing a faster ARMv7 CPU processor with 4 cores, and double the memory at 1024MB, there is much more ‘ceiling’ for the Weather Pi, enabling to be a more reliable control centre for warning about worsening weather conditions and protecting our cliff-top house automatically by operating the storm shutters.
